Tube Slats® – these come with 3 Viper Channel™ pieces 42” long, a limited 30-Year prorated warranty, and double-wall, bottom-locking tube slats.
SoliTube Slat™ – our premier option for chain link enhancement that comes with 3 Viper Channel™ pieces and a limited 30-Year prorated warranty. These slats are double-walled with privacy fins on each side, and you can choose from a variety of standard colors. The body of this slat is made with high-density polyethylene (HDPE), color pigments, and ultraviolet (UV) inhibitors that holds off the harmful effects of the sun to maximize their performance. the privacy fins are made with a soft, flexible rubberlike material that is most often used in the automotive industry. The material (TPE) has color pigments and ultraviolet (UV) inhibitors to make them stand up to the sun’s harsh effects as well as being weather resistant.
Photodegradation is the process where the properties of a material can degrade from photon exposure. This is a concern when you are dealing with polymers and other materials that can be oxidized from ultraviolet light exposure. When the polymers oxidize they become brittle. You want to avoid photodegradation for polymers in outdoor applications, like fencing.
